En blank stille dag - helt uden udfordringer - blev ændret til noget sjovere, da jeg valgte SKK's mest ustabil Kap kajak, som dagens følgesvend på vandet. Kajakken som er af typen Hody Orca - er klubben's vildeste bud på sjove timer og udfordringer. Sidste år blev der kun roet 16km i den ! ! ! ....2km ud af de 16km roede jeg selv - dagens tur på kun 14km - har dermed nærmest dækket års forbrug af kajakken. For mig er det meget svært, at forstå hvorfor denne kajak bliver brugt så sjældent - nu er det ikke en marathon kajak - men en Sprint kajak, og derfor mere end oplagt til SKK's handikap løb. Vil man noget seriøst med roning i en kap kajak, så er dette kajakken i SKK man kan lære mest af.....

"With a total "no weather" day I decided to pick a challenging K1 racer - for today's træning - the kayak of choose became the wild Hody Orca. With last year's only 16km of use, this is without a doubt one of the club's most challenging K1. Even so it was not the biggest of problems for me to get to grip's with the beast. Using the techniq of counting OK strokes, to stress the focus on right balance - proved it self - making me understand the kayak's handling better. I would guess about 300km in the baby and it will really start to please me......
